Join David and Joan for a blissful weekend on the beautiful property of White Lotus Retreat Center in Santa Barbara. You won’t want to miss this opportunity to replenish yourself and practice yoga twice daily with David and Joan. White Lotus overlooks the city of Santa Barbara, the Pacific Ocean and Channel Islands. It is situated in a steep canyon forty acres in the San Marcos pass. We will enjoy the swimming hole and the underground Hopi-style meditation Kiva as well as other delightful amenities. Begin your day with a challenging and invigorating 2-hour morning yoga practice and finish in the evening with a deep stretch introducing partner yoga and finishing in restoratives to slowly melt away any tension. Take the afternoon to hike, swim or relax. Evenings you may enjoy the hot tub, gaze at the stars, or gather on the porch with others. We will have delicious and healthy meals prepared for us and great massage therapists will be available. This retreat center offers a variety of options for accommodations from a yurt to a private cabin to dormitory style lodging. Sign up early so you can have your choice! Retreat Policy: An advance deposit of $300 is required to reserve your space on this retreat. All deposits are non-refundable. Deposits are fully refunded if trips is cancelled by operator. Deposits are transferable to another retreat if cancellation is received before August 24th. Joan Hyman teaches a strong vinaysa flow class inspired by her mentors Annie Carpenter and Maty Ezraty (cofounder of yogaworks). She has been extremely influenced by the ashtanga method and has traveled to Mysore, India in 2006 to study with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. She leads retreats and workshops around the globe along with many popular classes in Los Angeles.David Lynch teaches Vinyasa Flow & Hatha Blend at Yogaworks in Westwood and Larchmont Village. His students are treated to the lilting tones of his New York accent as he teaches backed by eclectic music and insights of some of the world’s finest poets and philosophers. |
